Guitata, Binalay & Butaca

Ilagan, Isabela. I found this as simple province from the region 2.
This few days I went to this place and one thing that makes me wonder from this province is the pride delicacies of Isabela, which is their "kakanin" and a giant Butaca.

Guitata. Is one of the kakanin from Ilagan Isabela. It is just a "Biko" a native rice cake, but Guitata is wrapped in banana or palm leaves. Hmmm…. Yummy!
Binalay. Is another kind of kakanin from Ilagan, Isabela. This is similar to "Palitao" which is more sticky and squeezed. I got full when I ate this and skipped my lunch.

Wow! Both of them are Yummy!…. but how about a Giant Butaca?

Giant Butaca is an Ibanag word for a comfortable lounging chair that is a common household fixture of Ilagan. Its current association with the well-to-do belied its humble origin as the common tao's favorite chair.
